Aaron Carter Checks Into Rehab In Florida To “Work On His Overall Wellness”

Troubled singer Aaron Carter has checked into a treatment facility in Florida, with the 29-year-old’s managers claiming that he is trying to work on his overall state of health and well-being.

In a statement to E! News, a representative for Carter said:

“Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness. He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible. He is grateful for the support and love from his fans and looks forward to coming back stronger than ever before.”

This follows an incident on Thursday of this week when authorities were called to his home in St Petersburg to do a “wellness check”, but found that he was not in need of assistance at that time.

The past few months have been tumultuous for the singer, and police have been called to his home at various times, with reports indicating that friends and family were concerned for his safety.

In July of this year, he was arrested for DUI in the state of Georgia, a short time after bragging about how he had never had a DUI.

He appeared very distressed in a subsequent interview, telling Entertainment Tonight that his brother, former Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter had “given up” on him.

Before that, in June of this year, Carter was hospitalised for exhaustion after a show in New York, and went on a social media tirade, accusing some fans of “bullying” and body-shaming him.

We wish him all the best in his recovery.
