Practice Your Clurb Moves ‘Coz ‘Save The Last Dance’ Hits Netflix Next Month

Good news for lovers of Julia Stiles, noughties cinema and / or dance films ‘coz old school classic Save The Last Dance is coming to Netflix next month.

The film queen Julia Stiles along with Sean Patrick Thomas as a teenage interracial couple living in Chicago who work together to help Stiles’ character ace a dance audition.

The movie also stars Kerry Washington, Terry Kinney, Fredro Starr and Bianca Lawson.

The 2001 flick was a smash hit, debuting at #1 at the North American box office making $27.5 million in its opening weekend and ultimately grossing $91,057,006 in the US alone and $131.7 million worldwide.

Save the Last Dance took out several awards following its release including “Best Kiss” at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards for Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas, who also won “Breakthrough Male Performance”.

It also scored multiple Teen Choice Awards including “Choice Movie: Actress” for Julia Stiles, “Choice Movie: Breakout Star” for Kerry Washington and “Choice Movie: Fight Scene” for Julia Stiles and Bianca Lawson.

Another major drawing card with the film was its sick soundtrack which featured bops by Snoop Dogg, Jojo, Pink, Ice Cube and The Notorious B.I.G.
