Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are still pretty pissed about that time Barnaby Joyce threatened to have their dogs Pistol and Boo put down.
Which is totally understandable. It’s someone’s dog. Bitch don’t kill my dog.
During a press interview for her new movie Magic Mike XXL, Amber Heard was asked how the dogs were doing after they narrowly escaped death. And yeah, she’s still pretty ticked off.
“I have a feeling we’re going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can thanks to certain politicians there.”
“I don’t know, I guess everyone tries to go for their 15 minutes [of fame], including some government officials,” she said, with all the sympathy of the already famous.
Depp and Heard might have done the wrong thing – we don’t have an entire TV show about people trying to smuggle things through our airports for ~nothing~, you know – but threatening to have someone’s dogs put down is taking it one step too fucking far, Barnaby.
Meanwhile, the koala that John Oliver threatened to kill if Australia went through with euthanising Boo and Pistol lives to eat a gum leaf another day.
So, happy endings all round then. Except for Australia. Which will now remain Depp-less.
