The vast majority of the population may be pissed about Ruby Rose being cast as Batwoman but her longtime pal Taylor Swift couldn’t be happier.
The ‘End Game’ singer took to Instagram to praise her friend on nabbing the sick gig in The CW’s upcoming crossover event.
Swift shared an announcement post by Variety and captioned it: “YES @rubyrose!! So excited for you, you’re gonna be amazing!”

Sweet of Tay to publicly praise her girl who, by the way, left Twitter after copping a whole lotta hate over her new role.
“Where on earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be batwoman’ come from – has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read,” she tweeted before leaving the app.
“I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change ????.”
At the time of the announcement, the Aussie star took to Instagram to share her excitement over the role.

“The Bat is out of the bag and I am beyond thrilled and honoured. I’m also an emotional wreck because this is a childhood dream,” she wrote.
“This is something I would have died to have seen on TV when I was a young member of the LGBT community who never felt represented on tv and felt alone and different. Thank you everyone. Thank you god.”
Rose is set to make her debut as Batwoman on The CW’s annual crossover event with the network’s four DC shows The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl in December.
