‘Stranger Things’ Creators Say Y’All Need To Fix Your TV Settings Before S2

Obviously we’re all keen for Stranger Things season 2. But apparently our enjoyment of it is now conditional. The Duffer Brothers – the creators of the series – told Vulture that we’re all watching the damn thing wrong and need to change our TV settings.

Specifically, they want you to turn off the ‘smooth motion’ setting you get on a whole lot of newer televisions, which makes everything look like an episode of The Bill from 2002.

“Us and everyone in Hollywood puts so much time and effort and money into getting things to look just right, and when you see it in someone’s home, it looks like it was shot on an iPhone,” said Matt Duffer.

“It’s shocking!” added Ross Duffer. “We were just at Comic-Con, and we walk on the main floor and the settings on every single TV is wrong. I was like, ‘Didn’t a bunch of nerds put this together? What is wrong with them?’”

The key, according to Matt, is to “turn off anything that says ‘motion.’”
