The First Look At Sex Education Season 3 Is Here And I’m Ready To Have My Hopes Smashed In Two

sex education season 3

Friends, gather round, because Netflix has given us a first look at the upcoming third season of Sex Education. In other words, the best show on Netflix right now is coming back, and the pics hint at some brand new drama, and a whole lot more sex (duh).

Now, if you can pull your mind back to the ending of season 2, then you’ll remember all the fuckery we had to put up with as the show came to a close.

When we left our friends at Moordale, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) decided to start their oh-so-wrong but oh-so-right relationship (let’s see how long this lasts) and Otis (Asa Butterfield) left a full-on voice message to Maeve (Emma Mackey) confessing all of his feelings to her (finally).

The only problem was that it looked like Isaac (George Robinson), that jerk, got to the message first and deleted it. I was rooting for him, I really was, but then he goes and pulls this shit.

So yeah, that’s pretty much everything our main characters were doing when season 2 of Sex Education came to a close, so now we just have to wait for season 3 to see all this chaos come to play.

According to Netflix, the new season will explore Otis having more casual sex, Eric and Adam’s relationship, Dr Jean (Gillian Anderson) and her baby that’s on the way, the dreaded Otis voicemail, and Jackson’s (Kedar Williams-Stirling) new crush (ooh la la).

The season will also introduce a new character named Cal (Dua Saleh) to Moordale, who is a nonbinary student that I really do hope doesn’t go around deleting voicemails. Also, daddy Malfoy Jason Isaacs will be playing Peter Groff, Mr Groff’s (Alistair Petrie) much more successful brother.

The other new character comes in the form of a brand new headteacher named Hope (Jemima Kirke), who wants to return the school to some kind of respectable excellence. So maybe people won’t be rooting in the bathrooms this season, which is a change of pace.

Here are some first-look images of Sex Education season 3, which give away almost nothing but remind me just how much I love every single one of these characters.
