Ruby Rose Catches “Hate And Horrible Comments” Over Paris Post

While she hasn’t quite attracted Rob Lowe levels of heat, Australia’s Ruby Rose has still managed to catch the internet’s ire, receiving “hate and horrible comments” for a social media post she made following yesterday’s attacks in Paris.

Let’s be honest.. Pray for humanity. What is happening in the world.. Today has been devastating. #lebanon #paris #syria and everywhere under attack right now. this is not a blanket post this is a post for today’s horrific news which spans many countries.

The trouble began when Rose made a post, referencing the #PrayForParis hashtag that sprung up yesterday, in which she urged fans to “pray for the entire world” in light of deadly attacks across multiple countries.
This sentiment did not go down very well, and soon after, Rose was accused of being disrespectful to the victims of the Paris attack, and urged to delete her post.
Others told the Orange Is The New Black actress to “shut the fuck up” and “stop erasing what happened”, which eventually prompted an angry reply from Rose herself, saying:
“Wow! Guys my pray for the world post is not taking away from Paris. It’s about the other incidents today #paris #syria #lebanon  … There were bombings in Lebanon and Paris today. I am saying the world is in trouble. Terrorism is at large. Please stop comparing my prayer for the world today as an ‘all lives matter’ blanket post. It’s about the terrorist attacks today … Love breeds love. Hate breeds hate.. My heart and my love goes to Paris and everywhere in state of emergency right now. Heartbreaking day.”

Rose later shared a quote from Barack Obama, calling yesterday’s violence “an attack on all humanity”, adding: “literally what I said and stand by earlier. Yet [I] receive hate and horrible comments.”
