Ruby Rose Slams Instagram For Deleting Fan Accounts, Not Cyber Bullies’

Ruby Rose has gone on the offence with Instagram, calling out the social network first for allegedly deleting her #1 fan account, and then for prioritising that over dealing with some of the other BS that Insta faces on the daily.

In the first of two posts to Instagram (well, where else), she asked Instagram ~at large~ as to why they deleted the account @RubyRoseDaily and that it “breaks my heart because I know it meant so much to them.”

In the second, she slammed Instagram for their soft-handed approach in dealing with cyberbullying and their seemingly no-handed approach to dealing with spammers.

How titanic should have ended……….. Real talk I just found out Instagram is deleting fan accounts across the board… Ok.. No worries… But how about BEFORE you do that.. You work out a way to STOP CYBER BULLYING and people writing horrible things to one another. That’s some weird priorities. Fan pages are just people having fun building communities.. There are far worse things going on , on your platform… Also be nice if you could stop spammers talking about celebrity sex tapes ( that don’t exist trust me I checked ) stop the “10000 followers if you like my page” , “make money from home, do you want 5 cents to work from home click here” and the “I got 900 colonics a week and lost 1 pound, you can too follow my page” “Leaked phone number 82622)74!.):82!326”

(To be fair, it seems like parent company Facebook struggles with those spammers too, given the increasingly likelihood os a ‘HERE ARE 12 TOTALLY LEGIT AND NOT AT ALL SPAMMY MOVIE LINKS I FOUND’ comment appearing on every single fukken’ post. Ugh. Bring me poison.)

Then she started shading the shit out of spam accounts – or else, people that have no shame and no other feasible activities to take up their time – on Instagram, with one fan screenshotting and posting for all our times.

The raging continued over on Twitter, and isn’t slowing down just yet.

PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Instagram for comment. But the important lesson here, folks, is that spam is the worst Ruby Rose reads your comments. Swoon.
