Pour Us A Pinot Grigio Bc RHONY’s Ramona Is Reportedly Getting Fired After ‘Disastrous’ Season

This first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is shut down my multitude of alarms (all timed 5 minutes after each other), turn my phone off airplane mode, and jump onto Twitter to see what wild news I’ve missed overnight, then slowly try to wake the fuck up. Today is one of those days where I was struck with a wild-ass headline that propelled me straight out of bed: ‘Producers Set To Axe Ramona Singer From Real Housewives Of New York After Disastrous Season.’

The Real Housewives connoisseurs over at Radar Online have shared a report about the RHONY producers allegedly planning to sack the OG star after the current “disastrous” season.

“The only original New York cast member who has never left from day one is Ramona Singer but now her time is up,” insiders told the publication.

“Ramona will not be invited back to the next season of the show, which is currently not in production for a couple of reasons. One, she is too expensive. She is the only lady that has been on the show from day one, (Countess LuAnn was demoted to ‘a friend’ before returning as a full-time cast member) and her salary reflects it.”

They added, “Plus, the basic premise of the show doesn’t work anymore. A bunch of older white women behaving badly was fun a decade ago but not today. The world has changed and if the show wants to survive another decade it must change too and that starts with the cast.”

The latest season of RHONY featured the first-ever Black Housewife of that city, queen Eboni Williams, and she’s been using her platform to educate the other ladies on Black culture. Of all the older white women on the show, Ramona Singer has been the least receptive to the change.

“Ramona is furious that the show is changing. She doesn’t understand why her behaviour isn’t great TV anymore. After over a decade of being rewarded for saying and doing the things she has done, she does not understand what the problem is,” the insider said.

Head here to have a read of the full report. Granted this is Radar Online, so I’m taking it with a huge grain of salt. But as we’ve learned from the show’s sister city RHOBH (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Housewives and Housewives sources are very much in contact with Radar’s reporters so there definitely could be some truth to this.

RHONY and all other Real Housewives seasons are now streaming on Hayu.
