Rumour Has It Ten Is Replacing Pete Evans On I’m A Celeb With His Literal Former MKR Co-Host

After disgraced snake oil peddler, Pete Evans, got unceremoniously dumped from the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! there’s now rumours that his old My Kitchen Rules co-host Colin Fassnidge is stepping into the jungle in his place.

I wish I could tell you that Manu Fidel is going into the jungle (read: the bush near Byron Bay) but alas, it’s the other guy from MKR headed out to face the wilderness of the northern NSW hinterland.

The Australian has reported off sources that it’s looking like the chef and former MKR judge is pinned to replace Evans in the reality show, after Pete shared neo-Nazi symbols on his Instagram and got dropped from I’m A Celeb (among other things) like a sack of rancid potatoes.

Please, take your grain of salt at this news. If you don’t have a grain of homemade salt prepared, store-bought is fine.

If these big whispers are true, that would also mean that Fassnidge has stepped up to reside in the bush not long after winding up in hospital with elevated aluminium levels in his blood; toxicity which can occur from consuming foods with high levels of aluminium present and can affect speech, memory, and bone and muscle strength.

It’d also mean that he’d be entering the jungle mere months after having stomach surgery back in July, which is impressive in itself, really.

It’s believed that I’m A Celebrity has started filming for the upcoming seventh season, with reports that contestants have been spotted doing gut-dropping tasks. The Daily Mail reported in mid-November that singer and former Australia’s Got Talent star Jack Vidgen and Australian Idol contestant and national treasure Paulini Curuenavuli were spotted skydiving near Murwillumbah, where the season is apparently based this year.

Aside from the whispers that Colin Fassnidge has replaced Pete Evans in filming I’m A Celeb in the Aussie scrub just outside of Byron, he has definitely got a new show locked in for 2021 following the axing of MKR. He’s locked in for a spot alongside Adam Liaw on The Cook Up for SBS Food next year, after sharing a pic on his Instagram with Adam and Yumi Stynes.

Though it is interesting to note that he hasn’t posted on Instagram or Twitter since November 20, a considerable sudden silence for someone who tends to post multiple times a day.

I’m A Celeb also teased that the upcoming season features a “renowned chef”, which could very much mean Colin.

Hmm, the plot thickens.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is set to premiere on Channel 10 from January 3, 2021.
