The drama has already started on Love Island UK, even though we’re only a week in. Already, someone’s been unceremoniously booted from the villa under mysterious circumstances – 20-year old chef Sherif Lanre.

Love Island UK producers announced the news via a statement.
‘After breaking the villa rules, Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.’

Sherif then released a statement via MailOnline about the matter but it’s predictably vague on the details.
‘In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa. I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from. I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside.’
Now, Daily Mail has found a message exchange shared on an unverified Twitter account, allegedly between a friend and Sherif.
The Anton/Anna situation is referring to Sherif’s “coupled up” partner Anna Vakili, and fellow villa resident Anton Danyluk. While the scenario described above could totally have happened – producers of the program are insisting the message exchange is fake.

Producers have also refused to specify which rule/s Sherif broke to result in his eviction. However, The Mirror claims these are some of the house rules for this season.
- no masturbating
- no appearing naked – even while bathing.
- no engaging in sexual activity while drunk.
- no smoking in the living quarters or garden, only in a special outdoor ‘hut’ – once they’ve sought permission from a producer.
- condoms must be worn if contestants have sex
- contestants who have sex must see a therapist afterward (who can provide emergency contraception)
Love Island UK is streaming every day at 6pm on 9NOW, FYI.
