Khloe Kardashian has hit out at “assholes” and “haters” claiming that O.J. Simpson is her real father, following reports this week that the former NFL star had been granted parole from prison.
Khloe’s father, the late Robert Kardashian, was close friends with Simpson, and successfully defended him during his 1995 murder trial, where he was acquitted of killing his wife Nicole Brown and her lover Ronald Goldman.
One of the more popular and persistent rumours surrounding Khloe is that O.J. is also her biological father, and when news broke of his parole, her Instagram was flooded with comments to like “are you excited to see your dad?”
In the midst of all this, a concerned fan reached out on Twitter, saying: “The comments under Khloe’s picture [are] sick. I’m so hurt she needs to deal with this all. Robert Kardashian is her father. Leave her in peace.”
Khloe herself responded, calling her detractors “assholes” and adding “I don’t care … I focus on the good … I’m happy and they hatin’.” So yeah, I guess the moral of the story is that if you happen to run into Khloe, maybe steer clear of this topic of conversation entirely.
The 70-year-old Simpson will walk free in October of this year, after serving nine years in a Nevada prison for his part in the armed robbery of a sports memorabilia dealer.
Though he was found not guilty of murder in his 1995 criminal trial, a later civil suit brought by the families of the victims was successful, and he was found liable for their deaths, with a $33.5M judgement made against him.
