Over the weekend Apple announced the Australian release date for the iPad as well as the pricing.
As of today the iPad can be pre-ordered by frothing tech nerds Australia-wide, with the base model starting at $629 with 16GB of memory going up to $1049 for the iPad with all the bells and whistles, 3G and WiFi access and 64GB of storage space. It seems kind of cheapish – compared to what you’d pay for a MacBook.
They go on sale in stores on Friday 28 May and I can’t wait to see the television footage of the freaks that line up at 3am just to get their mitts on one! It’s as good as watching those people who dressed up as Morpheus at the Matrix: Reloaded premiere.
