Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins has given us his first official message as Australian Badgelor 2018. We’ve had goofy promos on the field, unicorns, and rose petals but now it’s on.

Posted to the Bachelor Australia social media accounts, Cummins (of course) drops a coupla stellar lines before going into his ideal woman and hopes for the mansion… there’s also a ukulele in there.
I’m sure it’s already circled in red on your calendars but The Bachelor Australia will finally hit our telly screens, August 15. Not long to go, now.
Anywhoo – here we go:
“G’day, I’m Nick Cummins and I agree with you, I’m probably not the best looking Bachelor you’ve ever had. I don’t have a jaw that can cut a cake, I don’t have a tan of mahogany seal. It’s pretty clear I’m not your standard Bachelor and nor would I want to be. I want to be meself, I want to have some fun.
You’re going to see a lot of laughs, a lot of goods times, good vibes and hopefully, a lot of love.”
The type of woman I’m looking for is someone who is secure in themselves, knows what she wants, is independent, and is unconditional.
Some are blessed with good looks… charisma, charm, all the things that make a girl melt but for the rest of us, we’ve got to work harder.”
Cue the ukulele-playing.
But then we get real:
“All jokes aside, in the end it’s all about love, connection, and bringing people together. So grab your partner, find a spot on the couch, throw your arm around them and enjoy.”

If you’re not following the Bachie Insta account, then it might be a worth a suss because they’ve been gradually uploading “first looks” to all the gals vying for the hearts of the Honey Badger.
So far we’ve been introduced to our first four women including Vanessa Sunshine, whose name is Vanessa Sunshine, she’s Vanessa Sunshine, her last name is Sunshine.
Vanessa Sunshine’s described as “Bold, beautiful and brutally honest, she loves a party.”
We also have Dasha – “Quick-witted with a sultry Russian accent, she is looking for a man that is strong, reliable and caring.”
Dasha’s the one who does some sort of stunt when she meets Cummins for the first time – well the ads make it look like that anyway.
Then there’s Cass – “A former Miss World Finalist, she is a girly tomboy who is passionate about rugby, animals, and surfing.”
And then we have Brooke, who based on the comments on Instagram are the people’s favourite for the moment. She was also introduced to the people first so nudge-nudge, wink-wink, I feel like we’ll be seeing her a lot.
Brooke is a “23-year-old Perth youth worker, fun-loving and looking for a like minded partner that is loyal and nurturing.”
The Bachelor Australia premiers 7:30pm Wednesday, August 15.
