Because we now know who the next Bachelor is – take a bow, Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins – and several outlets have published pics of various contestants snapped in lockdown before shooting, it’s time for my favourite pre-Bachie tradition: wild speculation.
I mean, it’s all ridiculous and stupid but then again, so is a show where one guy dates 600 women, right?
The latest juicy rumour comes from the Daily Telegraph (who are often quite on the money when it comes to these FBI-level deep dive investigations), who reckon that prospective Bachelor contestant Cassandra Wood ALREADY KNOWS THE HONEY BADGER.
Yep, just like Matty J / Laura and Sophie / Stu before them, Nick and Cassandra have been slapped with the old ‘you guys already know each other and probably have already boned’ label.
The Tele quotes a source who says the former rugby union star and the Miss World Australia 2017 contestant have been friends for “more than a year”, and claims they even went to Falls Festival together. The nerve of them.
The unnamed source also says “they’ve definitely been more than just friends”, which you know is obviously a polite way of saying that they have 3000% bumped uglies.
But the Tele also reports that Cassandra “did not know Cummins was going to be the Bachelor” until production kicked off this week. We hope they’ve got their best blank faces ready for when they “meet” at the first cocktail party.
