I am pleased to announce that three years after the Honey Badger Nick Cummins broke Australia’s heart on The Bachelor, he’s finally fucking picked a girl.
Ahh, 2018. It was a much simpler time when the Honey Badger ditching both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman at the final rose ceremony was our biggest problem.
For years after this fateful day, we made jokes about The Bachelor stars “chucking a Honey Badger”, but it appears we can’t joke about it anymore because he’s finally snagged a girlfriend.
The former rugby union player took to Instagram on Tuesday to debut his new girlfriend Alexandra George, thus proving that he can actually pick a girlfriend (eventually).
“This sunset @kingfisherbayresort is a must see,” he captioned the picture, neglecting to tag his new boo.
Although this is the first time the Honey Badger has gone public with this girlfriend, it is believed that they’ve actually been together since June last year.
The Daily Telegraph first reported the news when the couple were spotted holidaying at Seal Rocks on the NSW mid-north coast.
According to friends of the couple, Nick met the accessories designer while on a holiday in the Kimberly in Western Australia.
The pair reportedly bonded over their love of the outdoors, including spearfishing, boating and camping, which is simply too much outdoors for me to handle.
“Another day, another waterfall,” Alex captioned a recent Instagram photo, flexing her outdoorsy nature.
I’m not surprised that Australia’s most famous commitment-phobe took six months to make it Instagram official, but I truly am happy for him.
And honestly? Kudos to Alex for being the first woman to lock down the Honey Badger. That’s an achievement in itself.
