Last year on Farmer Wants A Wife, a minor scandal/common reality TV trope unfolded at the reunion, which aired in August. Farmer Alex Taylor arrived at the event not with his chosen bae, Jess Wolfe, but with his runner-up, Henrietta Moore.
There Farmer Alex said that he and Henrietta had caught up with friends after his split from Jess and that it had blossomed into a relationship. “It just felt right,” he said.
But in October, Farmer Alex told a curious Instagram follower that he and Henrietta were donezo. “[T]o put you at ease Henrietta and I [are] not together anymore but we remain friends,” he wrote.
Except Henrietta told The Wash this week that there was no breakup or reunion scandal because she and Farmer Alex were never actually a couple. Boom.
“Alex and I were never together. He asked me to come to the final reunion to support him,” she explained.
“Alex and I met up after the show and went for a few dinners which was nice,” she said. “But we were both very aware that we were never going to be together because we are very different. But we did have a connection. We’re just really good friends.
“After the reunion we didn’t see each other for ages, we were never together.”
Alex shared to Instagram a photo seemingly celebrating his new romance with Henrietta after the reunion aired.
“I think everyone got quite a unexpected surprise at the reunion tonight!,” he wrote.
“@henriettalily_ Thank you for being there beside me on the couch tonight and challenging me through this entire experience you made every moment truly unforgettable.”

As a result of the scandal, Henrietta told The Wash she was bullied online and would deactivate her Instagram account to escape the backlash. Now, though, she’s using her platform to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation as part of the World’s Greatest Shave.

On Instagram earlier this week, Henrietta said that she was “heavily edited” and misrepresented on Farmer Wants A Wife.
“I hope to shed light on some of the truth about that show… [to show] you how dangerous those shows are to go on and that when you’re watching it, you’re not watching the truth at all, you’re watching a fabricated lie.”
