How fucking good is the internet, huh? HUH? It’s the tits. Humans, we’re all a bunch of stone-cold weirdos and the shit that spews forth from our brains is nothing short of insanity. Enter ‘gorl’, the latest meme to take hold of us all.
The meme spawned from the misspelling of “girl”, and Know Your Meme (always the bible for this stuff) credits this meme for starting it all.
That dude is Gru from Despicable Me, my most hated movie but here we are. The idea is that when you read “gorl” you’re reading it in his thick Eastern European accent.
Since the OG meme, everyone’s been taking pop culture “girl” references and replacing the word with “gorl”. Usually also putting in Gru somewhere, if possible. It’s likely gone gangbusters because it’s so damn easy to make a “gorl” meme, tbh. Just find something that says girl and replace girl with gorl. Simple pimple.
It’s stupid, but it’s also the fucking best. Here are my personal favourites so far.
