Real Housewives And Influencers Alike Have Weighed In On The Wild-Ass RHOM Photoshopping Drama

In case ya missed it, the talk of the town (or at least Instagram) over the past few days has been Real Housewives of Melbourne star Lydia Schiavello sharing a throwback piccy from 2014 that featured several other cast members, including Chyka Keebaugh, Pettifleur Berenger and Janet Roach.

What’s the catch? Well, the photo was photoshopped and Chyka’s body appeared to have been morphed.

Since the scandal has blown up on Instagram, loads of influencers, Real Housewives stars, and friends of Real Housewives stars have weighed in, including Chessie Keebaugh, the daughter of Chyka Keebaugh, who was the first to defend her mama.

“A grown woman posted this yesterday,” she wrote in a scathing Instagram Story.

“Seven years on and the worst editing job I’ve ever seen. I laughed when I was shown [it] because it’s truly the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen.

“But I actually woke up incredibly mad that in 2021 a woman went out of her way to bring another woman down. Yes, it’s my mother, but taking a step back from that.”

Chyka shared her daughter’s post to her own Instagram Story and added, “What is the point in pulling another woman down?”

She also dropped the following Instagram posts as the whole thing was blowing up:

The comments section of the posts were flooded with supportive responses.

“Love Chessy’s comment,” sassy Real Housewives of Melbourne star Janet wrote, who was also featured in the infamous pic. “You look amazing as always.”

“Keep shining, beauty!” added shine connoisseur, Jackie Gillies.

“Sending love,” wrote ex RHOM star Susie McLean.

Yesterday was dubbed ‘Chyka Day’ by social media stars as folks began dropping pics to show their love for Chyka Keebaugh, including her husband Bruce Keebaugh (who you’ll recognise from the couple’s time on the Real Housewives), influencer EmmyLou McCarthy and more.

After initially denying that the pic had been photoshopped, Lydia ultimately deleted the post altogether and apologised on her Instagram Story.

“Last post deleted, my apology to all,” before adding: “After being fat-shamed, I would not do that to anyone.”

Real Housewives of Melbourne season 5 is coming soon to Foxtel, and I’ve heard whispers that Chyka Keebaugh will guest star. Yay! Everyday should be Chyka Day.
