Friday really is the GOOD day, innit? First, we woke up to the news that Taylor Swift is dropping a brand new album TODAY, and now Disney has unleashed an avalanche of news, updates and trailers for their future releases.

THE LION KING PREQUEL
A prequel to the live-action The Lion King is in the werks via Moonlight director Barry Jenkins and featuring music by Hans Zimmer and Pharrell.
THE LITTLE MERMAID
That much-talked about live-action Little Mermaid is officially happening, featuring queen Halle Bailey as Ariel, Awkwafina and Melissa McCarthy, along with tunes by Lin Manuel (no biggie!).

There’s also a live-action Pinocchio coming to Disney+, starring ma boi Tom Hanks.

Sister Act 3
FUCK YES!!!!! The long-rumoured third iteration of the iconic ’90s story Sister Act is officially a-go, feat. goddess Whoopi Goldberg as the lead star and producer.
It’s set to premiere exclusively on Disney+.

Your Halloween spells worked, witches, ‘cos Hocus Pocus 2 is officially in the werks and will fly via broomstick onto Disney+.
A new Zac Efron flick
We’ve been dealt the devastating blow that honorary Aussie Zac Efron will be leaving us soon to film a modern take on the hilarious ’80s comedy Three Men and a Baby, as previously announced.
It’s set to premiere on Disney+ in 2022 (which means we have plenty more Zefron Down Under time to look forward to).

Kardashians (???)
The Kardashians have inked some kind of special deal because OF COURSE they have.
According to a tweet, the Kardashian Jenners will “create new global content under a multi-year deal, to stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and in multiple territories on Star internationally”.

Black Panther 2
What’s bound to be an absolute tear-jerker, Black Panther 2, will hit cinemas in July 22.
To honour the late Chadwick Boseman’s legacy, his character will not be recast, and instead the film will explore the world of Wakanda.
