The news was confirmed this morning in a post to the Byron Bay Community Board Facebook page, letting locals know that the pup was safe and sound.

“SUNNY has been FOUND this morning,” said family friend Leah Grist. “Thank you to everyone for all their help, shares and wishes to bring Sunny home.”

The pooch, who is regularly seen with Chris Hemsworth on his Instagram, ran away after getting a shock from electric fencing at his the newly-built mansion in Byron.

She also joined the family in a ground-breaking performance of ‘Wrecking Ball‘ last year:

Hemsworth and Pataky paid $7 million for an eight-bedroom mansion outside of Byron in 2014, then knocked down and rebuilt the property for an estimated $8.8 million.

Construction on the large concrete house began in 2017, and took 18 months. Features include six bedrooms, a steam room, media room, gym, games room and a 50-metre rooftop infinity pool.

Chris Hemsworth recently shared a photo of a mural by Otis Hope Carey, commissioned for the house, that features representational imagery of the ceremonial dancing of the Gumbaynggirr people.
