Last night, there was some bizarre activity on the ol’ Celeb Spellcheck Instagram (the real one, not the poxy ones that have popped up since her retirement and think they can fool us into believing they’re the real deal).
After announcing she had retired for good and scrubbed her entire page clean, Celeb Spellcheck returned to the ‘gram with a pic of Mary-Kate Olsen (yes, I know it’s Mary-Kate and not Ashley because I’m an Olsen Twins die-hard).

The post featured no caption, no tags, and the comments were disabled. So basically it’s a No Context Mary-Kate page now (hey, that’s a great idea for an Instagram! Might create that one next, now that my No Context Charmed page is up and running).
We all know that, like me, she’s a big fan of The Olsen Twins, and all other noughties It Girls, as she frequently used their piccies in her Insta Stories when she was doing her infamous Q&As, but why this pic? Why now? After making such a big song and dance about quitting?
Fans have guessed that perhaps the pic points to legal dramas of some sort as there are cops encircling Mary-Kate in the photo.
It’s been theorised that her previous hiatus and subsequent retirement was a result of legal drama, but she denied these claims in her exit spiel.
“This account has become too big, too powerful and too time-consuming for me to enjoy running it anymore,” she previously wrote.
“There is no scandalous reason behind this decision – I’m not being threatened or sued or controlled in any way.”
But maybe she was BSing us ‘cos she’s not allowed to discuss the case (if such a case exists) with her many, many, MANY followers, or the legal dramas ensued post retirement and she’s come back to bitch about it.
Given that I hadn’t clicked on her page since she vanished (but I’ve had alerts on, don’t you worry), I noticed another new feature: a set of highlights called Aus Pop Culture that includes a bunch of piccies from iconic Aussie celeb scandals, from Todd Lasance allegedly being busted with rack at the Home & Away cast party to Karl Stefanovic getting hammered at The Logies.
I implore you to go check it out, I got stuck down a rabbit hole of Aussie culture last night and it was *chef’s fingers*.
We miss you, queen. Pls tell us you’re back for good!
