Britney Spears To Appear In A Movie For The First Time Since ‘Crossroads’

I literally have no idea how to start this article other than with the following statement:

IT’S BRITNEY, BIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH.

The queen of pop music, Britney Spears is returning to le cinema for the first time since her 2002 masterpiece, Crossroads.

never forget

Okay okay okay, so it’s just a cameo this time rather than a leading role but STILL any big screen Britney is better than no big screen Britney.

The 37-year-old will have a surprise cameo in the upcoming horror film Corporate Animals starring Demi Moore.

The film’s synopsis is as follows:

Lucy (Demi Moore) is the egotistical CEO of Incredible Edibles, America’s premiere provider of edible cutlery. In her infinite wisdom, Lucy leads her staff including her long-suffering assistants, Freddie (Karan Soni) and Jess (Jessica Williams), on a corporate team-building caving weekend to New Mexico. When disaster strikes, not even their useless guide Brandon (Ed Helms) can save them. Trapped underground by a cave-in, the mismatched and disgruntled group must pull together in order to survive amidst sexual tension, startling business revelations, and casual cannibalism.

Director Patrick Brice confirmed Brit’s involvement in the movie during a Los Angeles Times panel at Sundance Film Festival on Monday, January 28.

“The ghost of Britney Spears is in our movie,” Brice said.

He then explained how the ‘Toxic’ singer will be heard, if not seen, in the movie: “One of our characters — Calum Worthy’s character, Aidan — is obsessed with Britney Spears, and there’s a runner of him as he’s going crazy thinking that Britney is speaking to him from the walls.”

“As he is also getting gangrene, so he is starting to hallucinate,” added Demi Moore, with Jessica Williams insisting, “I gotta hear the outtakes. I’m happy to have that energy in the film.”

Brit’s big comeback (I know it’s just a cameo but shut up, this is still ‘YUGE) will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 29, 2019.
