Bob Odenkirk Says He Wants Huell To Be In His Breaking Bad Spinoff

Bob Odenkirk wants what we want.
The performer best known as shady Breaking Bad legal counsel, one-liner factory and unofficial Walter White consigliere Saul Goodman tells us as much on the phone from Calgary, Canada where he’s currently filming a ten part TV adaptation of the prototypical Coen Brothers black comedy, Fargo, airing later this year on SBS One.
The interview will be published in full later this month but for now here’s what he had to say about which BB cast member he thinks would be perfect for his upcoming Better Call Saul spinoff. Huell never guess who it is.
“I love all of the gangsters. If it’s me mixing with the gangsters it’s really funny. The nastier and rougher the better. I like seeing Saul when he’s got his back to the wall. It’s fun to make wisecracks and be a crazy character but I think when he’s under pressure that’s when it’s most fun,” Odenkirk explained. “So for that reason I want Huell. I want to see Huell again. My muscle. I want him back. I don’t know if he’s in it or not. I just don’t know. I know Jonathan Banks is in it but that’s about it.”
Hope you’re listening, Vince Gilligan.

Fargo premieres 9.30pm, Thursday 1 May on SBS ONE.
