The ‘Breaking Bad’ Movie Has Been Filmed, If Crooked Lawyer Saul Goodman Is To Be Believed

While it’s been a damn minute since Breaking Bad wrapped up, clearing the path for the spinoff, Better Call Saul, there are new whispers that the full-length flick has been shot. Well, according to Saul Goodman, anyway.

In an interview with The Hollywood ReporterBob Odenkirk mentioned that, as far as he knows, the film has been shot. Which is pretty good considering it’s predicted to hit Netflix “some time in 2020.”

“I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it,” Odenkirk said.

I don’t know what people know and don’t know. I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.

Very good at keeping secrets there, Bob. Well done mate.

If the Vince Gilligan and Aaron Paul project is all filmed and wrapped, surely we’ll have some kind of announcement from Netflix soon enough about when we can expect the feature-length film to come to us. Until then I guess it’s time to re-watch the entire five seasons of the OG show again.

On top of dropping big secrets about the Breaking Badmovie, Odenkirk talked a bit about the upcoming fifth season of Better Call Saul, indicating that in this season we’re finally going to see Jimmy McGill turn into his much-more-shifty, definitely-big-criminal self, Saul Goodman.

Season five of Better Call Saul is due to land in 2020 as well, but we don’t have firm dates for that one either just yet but we’ll let ya know when we do.
