Now, I haven’t seen Bird Box yet — kindly jump off my dick, I have been very busy and will watch it soon — but I know from The Internet that everyone loves it and it’s good. The Sandra Bullock flick is the Netflix hype of the holiday period, like that time back in 2016 where everyone ignored their families over Xmas to watch Making A Murderer with great interest.

There’s been loads of yarns about the show, like some intel into the film’s big bad creature and also the incredible memes that the movie has inspired. And friends, I have another story for you. A story about an idiot on Twitter who did not know who Sandra fucking Bullock was. Just look at this goddamn tweet, would you:

I mean, there’s two things wrong with this tweet: 1) “The lady from bird box” instead of “Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock”. 2) Making fun of Michael Jackson and Sandy’s appearance in one fell swoop. It’s rude, is what it is.
I don’t now how old this @aaron_delara character is, but you could maaaaybe excuse him for not being familiar with Sandy’s work in 90s classics such as The Net, Speed, A Time To Kill, and Practical Magic if he’s under 30. If he’s suuuper young, he might not even remember early noughties hits like Miss Congeniality and Two Weeks’ Notice.
But come on, even in the last 10 years Sandra has been a regular on our movie screens. If you haven’t seen The Proposal, The Heat, The Blind Side (which she won her Oscar for), Gravity or Ocean’s 8 then that’s just plain ignorance, Aaron!
(Again, I’m aware I sound a tad hypocritical since I have not seen Bird Box but I’ve seen all these other movies several times and respect Sandra Bullock for the strong successful queen that she is.)
