Bill Hader’s Murder-Heavy Hitman Show ‘Barry’ Is Finally Garn Ahead On HBO

In January, we alerted you to Bill Hader‘s new show ‘Barry’, in which he plays a disillusioned cheapo hitman from the Midwest, who travels to California on a job and ends up making friends with an enthusiastic young theatre group in LA
YES. WE KNOW. HOW INCREDIBLE DOES THAT SOUND.
Now, Deadline is reporting HBO has finally ordered the half-hour comedy show to series.
We’re not sure why this took HBO six months to do, because the show obviously sounds straight up beyond fkn incredible
The series co-stars Henry Winkler as Gene Cousineau (an inspiring acting teacher), Stephen Root as Fuches (the bloke who arranges Barry’s hits) and Sarah Goldberg as Sally (an aspiring actress who introduces Barry into LA’s theatre scene).
Hader and Alex Berg will serve as executive producers and writers, and Hader will also be directing the pilot. It’ll shoot in Los Angeles in 2017.
We’ll update you when we know more about this delightful new murderous comedy.
