The already-excellent Brooklyn Nine-Nine will get another high-powered shot of excellence right in the arm next season, when Bill Hader joins the cast for an unspecified but hopefully generous number of episodes.
With (spoiler alert) Andre Braugher‘s Captain Ray Holt transferred out of the Nine-Nine and into public relations, Hader’s “severely anal-retentive” Captain Seth Dozerman steps in to fill the gap.
Overnight, Fox released a first-look at the show’s third season, and based on the below clip, former SNL co-stars Hader and Andy Samberg still have pretty delightful chemistry.
Samberg said:
“Bill is funny as hell in the role … Dozerman is a borderline lunatic, so in a lot of ways he fits in well at the Nine-Nine. It was great to see Bill and work together again. It’s basically Laser Cats set in the past with a way bigger budget.”
