As Entertainment Weekly reports, the season premiere pulled in a noice 3.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults aged 18-24, in the United States.

These numbers aren’t the highest compared to other shows on NBC and rival networks but the ratings are a 71 per cent improvement from season five’s debut on Fox, pre-cancellation.

In other words, NBC definitely made an excellent choice saving the series.

Season six, episode one, picks up right where season five stopped. The squad are gathered in Shaw’s Bar celebrating Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Jake‘s (Andy Samberg) wedding. Meanwhile, Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) has received an email about the ~ commissioner ~ job.

Here’s a visual summary of episode one.

In Australia, the season premiered on SBS on Friday night but if you missed it or just want to watch it again, you can catch it on SBS On Demand. Find out more, HERE

Full disclosure: episodes are fast tracked directly from NBC so this is a one-episode-per-week situation.
