Big Brother will resume filming tomorrow, after a crew member’s coronavirus test result came back negative.
The crew member had been exposed to someone who’d since tested positive for COVID-19, causing Big Brother to halt production in Manly’s North Head yesterday as a precaution.
The show’s production company Endemol Shine Australia confirmed the good news in a statement to TV Tonight:
“The test result for our Big Brother crew member believed to be exposed to COVID-19 has come back negative. We will resume filming Big Brother tomorrow and will continue to work within all Federal and State guidelines.”
Filming has been underway for about a month now, but it’s only been a little over a week since the housemates were informed about the coronavirus pandemic.
Production has confirmed that they’re in “constant contact” with the housemates’ families during this time.

It still remains a mystery as to whether the housemates remained in the house while crew self-isolated. But, I mean, given the rampant spread of coronavirus across the nation, the Big Brother pad seems like one of the safest places to be right now.
