These Manuka Honey Donuts Help Save The Bees & That’s On Preventing Colony Collapse, Honey

Donuts

Imagine being able to scoff donuts and save the bees at the same time. Well now you can, and no, this isn’t some cryptic Bee Movie reference.

The Inner Sydney sweet treat artisans at Donut Papi have whipped up a limited-edition bee-themed donut that tastes just as good as it looks.

Think a citrus white chocolate glaze with a Manuka honey drizzle and wattleseed white chocolate honeycomb shard. Oh, and that little bumble bee in the middle is also made of the same dough and thus completely edible.

The honey itself comes from the Waitotara Valley in New Zealand, so you know it’s the good, authentic shit.

For each one sold, the store will flip $1 to Save the Bees Australia, who work to protect those little workers from things like colony collapse disorder and the overuse of harmful pesticides.

The limited-edition treats will be available until February 3, and sorry Melburnians (and everyone else), this one’s for Sydneysiders ONLY.

That’s because you can only cop them in person at Donut Papi’s Redfern store. They’re not taking preorders, either.

Anyway, if you’re in the area, here’s another summer treat to add to your list.

The bees! Save them! With donuts!
