Get your gobs ready, because Arnott’s has gone and teamed up with Krispy Kreme to ruin our diets and fill us with joy. Introducing the brand new doughnut range of teeVee snacks, with every flavour inspired by a classic Krispy Kreme offering. Get in my gut already.
Starting May 12 (which is TODAY!) you can grab a box of these bad boys from your fave grocery store, with flavours including Original Glazed, Caramel Delight, Choc Iced, Kookies & Kreme and Strawberry Sprinkle.
As a diehard stan of the Kookies & Kreme doughnut, this news delighted me greatly. Luckily for me, I got to try each of these precious little bikkies, and having the boxes next to my desk is going to be dangerous for me.
“teeVee snacks are a classic, well-loved Australian biscuit and we’re thrilled to partner with Krispy Kreme to add a new twist to this iconic treat,” said Arnott’s Brand Manager Krishma Sood in a press release.
“With a range inspired by some of Australia’s most popular doughnuts, this new generation of “dough-scuits” is the collaboration teeVee snacks fans have been waiting for!”
Look, I don’t know if I’ll be calling them dough-scuits, but they sure do taste good. Here’s a run-through of every flavour available.
Caramel Delight
Honestly the best bikkie on offer here. It tastes like a yummo caramel treat with all the goodness of a teeVee snack. I don’t even like the caramel-coated Krispy Kreme, but this I can get behind.
Just imagine a salty-sweet caramel teeVee snack and you’ve nailed this flavour in your imagination.
The only negative is that it’s addictive as hell. 5/5 dough-scuits.
Kookies & Kreme
My son, who I shall protect with my life. Surprisingly not the best of the batch, but still fkn delish.
Also should be noted that it’s the only 0.5 health star rating in the collection, because this snack is a bad binch and will not apologise for it.
I give it 3.5/5 bisc-nuts.
Strawberry Sprinkle
These pretty and pink snacks taste like the colour pink, and if that’s your vibe, then you’ll love this.
Maybe you were a pink Nesquik person in your early days. For that I do not judge, but I must let you know that you are going to froth these.
I’m gonna give this one 4/5 bikkie-doughs.
Choc Iced
Look I know I said the caramel ones kicked ass, but so do these.
The choc iced doughnut bikkies taste like the original teeVee snacks with a Krispy Kreme twist, and if that sounds perfect it’s because it is.
I have to hand this one a 5/5 teeVee-kremes.
Original Glazed
Take the unique flavour of an Original Glazed doughnut and slap it onto a teeVee snack, and you’ve got this killer bikkie.
Definitely the perfect blend of the two worlds, and for that I have to pay respects at the altar of snacks.
This one gets a 4/5 glaze-nuts.
