Are you still feeling absolutely flummoxed by the news that Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim are dating? Because I am. Like, not in a million years would I put those two together and yet, here we are.
ICYMI: Chrishell went public with their relationship on Instagram overnight, posting a photo dump of their time in Capri, Italy.
Also pictured was Selling Sunset co-star Mary Fitzgerald and husband Romain Bonnet, as well as Jason’s brother Brett and his girlfriend Tina Louise.
But as you swiped through the photo dump, group pictures turned into lovey-dovey pics of Chrishell and Jason. And while Chrishell didn’t explicitly confirm the relationship in her caption – “the JLO effect” – her mates in the comments sure did.
Here’s how the cast of Selling Sunset and the rest of the world have reacted to the news.
Amanza Smith joined the cast of the reality TV show in season 2, quickly becoming fast friends with Chrishell.
“Love you both! So happy it’s out!! Ahhhh we can all just be normal now! Happy!!!! Makes me sooooo happy for you both!!” she commented on Chrishell’s post.
So it sounds like they’ve been dating for a little while, right?
Mary commented: “Nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy!”
Hubs Romain added: “So happy for you guys! Finally people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully.”
For context there, Jason has been accused of favouring Mary because they used to date. It was a bit of a thing between certain cast members, to be honest. You can guess who.

Jason, the man himself, commented simply with a love heart emoji, while his brother Brett wrote: “Love you Chrishell. Thank you for making my brother happy.”
That’s cuuuuuute.
While it doesn’t seem like Christine Quinn, Davina Porter, Heather Young, or Maya Vander have publicly commented on Chrishell’s post, I’m sure we’ll hear their thoughts once the next season of Selling Sunset comes around.
Christine appears to be in Italy at the moment, but not with the crew.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, people are still trying to process the news. I mean, the reason I didn’t see this coming is because Jason said in May that dating wasn’t his priority and that dating someone from the office “probably wouldn’t be an epic idea.”
But I guess something changed, hey?

Speaking to People, Jason said he and Chrishell first became close friends, which “developed into an amazing relationship.”
“I care about her deeply and we are very happy together,” he said.
Netflix has yet to announce a release date for Selling Sunset season 4, but we’ll keep you updated.
