At the end of last night’s episode of MAFS, we were given a glimpse of what’s to come in the hotly anticipated finale via the teaser for the final ep.
In the teaser, we Melissa Rawson packing her bags and storming out of the MAFS finale, supposedly giving up on her toxic groom, Bryce Ruthven.
The MAFS finale clip is so fkn dramatic, we even see her making her way through the underground car park of the Skye Suites Sydney apartment complex with her bags in tow.
After the teaser went live, folks have been left assuming that the gross courtship of Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson is coming to an end soon. Even the Daily Mail took the bait:
But don’t believe a single second of that shit because that MAFS ep was filmed months ago and unfortunately, Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson are still together. (You can watch the trailer here BTW).
It was first reported by the So Dramatic! podcast, who revealed on a recent ep that Bryce has been staying in Melissa’s hometown.
An anonymous contestant wrote in to the poddy, claiming that Bryce is just staying with Melissa to keep the fame gig going, to repair his image, and to live rent-free, which is hardly surprising.
The pair touched down in Sydney yesterday and they’ve been on the promo trail, where they’ve revealed that not only are they still together, but they’re planning on taking their relationship to the next step.
Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson appeared on the Kyle & Jackie O Show and told the shock jocks that they plan on making their relationship “official” by getting hitched IRL. And that’s not all.
Apparently they’re also interested in starting a family together which is, erm, not good.
“That’s the plan,” Bryce Ruthven said when discussing the prospect of starting a family. He said they “want a normal family life” together.
He revealed that he’s “waiting for the right time” to pop the question to Melissa and according to an anonymous tip, he’s gunning for a televised wedding bc of course he is.
So yeah, despite what the MAFS teaser would have you believe, Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson are very much still together. Bummer.
