Remember when controversial MAFS Australia 2021 stars Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson said they were thinking about starting a family and everyone called bullshit on that? Well, it looks like they were being for real because the pair have announced in a New Idea cover shoot that they’re engaged and expecting twins.

“It’s all happened very fast,” Bryce told the publication.

“It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re so incredibly happy,” Melissa added.

“People saw on the show how supportive and loyal Mel was. I’m pleased to say that’s transitioned to the real world,” says Bryce.

In the glowing photoshoot, Bryce cradles Melissa’s baby bump as she shows off sonogram photos of their twins.

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson went on to tell the mag that their relationship has “blossomed” since starring on the most recent season of Nine’s dating experiment, MAFS.

“We’d already been married on the show and, with our relationship getting stronger, this just felt like the logical next step,” Mel said, adding that she is “deeply in love” with Bryce.

“We’re not doing this for anybody else, it’s about us – we’re cementing our love,” Bryce said. “Melissa deserves to be happy and I’m apparently very good at that, so I’m looking forward to making it all official.”

And as for their forthcoming nuptials, Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson revealed who *is* and who *isn’t* invited to the big day.

Apparently MAFS experts Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla will “definitely not” score an invite, according to Mel.

And as for the blokes, Bryce says: “I’m still close to Jason, he’ll be there and Cameron, Russell and James … we’ll see.”

That being said, they insist that the wedding will be “low-key” as Melissa will “have two babies by the time I walk down the aisle.”

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson currently live in Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, where they say they are “on cloud nine” over their growing family.

Melissa went on to reveal that during her first ultrasound, Bryce had to wait “elsewhere”, for COVID reasons.

“So I was alone during the first ultrasound and she just came straight out with it – no warning,” she recalled. “I couldn’t stop crying, it was very emotional. I think I said ‘holy shit’ seven times.”
