KFC mascot Colonel Sanders has copped yet another redesign, and in a bizarre twist that has me absolutely floored, they’ve turned him into a sexy dirtbag social media influencer … who is also a computer generated character?

The Virtual Influencer Colonel, as he’s called, is a weirdly realistic-looking 3D model. He sports an updated version of the Colonel’s signature grey hair and horn-rimmed glasses look, and is a hybrid of basically every dude with a 10,000-plus Instagram following.
He’ll be taking over the brand’s social media channels in the US until the end of April, and I mean, just look at this guy:
Yes, his tattoo says ‘secret recipe for success’. This is all truly so much and I need to sit down:
I don’t want to make this weird, but honestly, this computer-generated daddy could take me out for finger lickin’ fried chicken, leave me on read for two weeks, then text me ‘u up?’ at three in the morning and I would fully flood my basement. Sorry, I guess I did make this weird.
“I may be a restaurant mogul and international inspiration, but I’m still just a kid who loves being in the kitchen,” said the Virtual Influencer Colonel in a recent Instagram post, hashtagged #humble.
The new Colonel Sanders has really got every Instagram cliche covered:
I for one welcome this new era of deranged fast food marketing.
This stunt comes just weeks after the fast food brand had a guy in a Colonel Sanders mask hop on stage for a DJ set at Miami‘s Ultra Music Festival, much to the chagrin of headliners deadmau5 and Marshmello.
.@KFC bought Colonel Sanders a slot on the @Ultra main stage, and this happened. 🐔🥚😂 | 📹: @1001TLtv pic.twitter.com/8qZfUZ7G4K
