Scott Disick has come under fire after sharing a photo on his Instagram alongside his and Kourtney Kardashian‘s 6-year-old daughter, Penelope Disick while dining at a Japanese restaurant.

“Best date of 2019,” Disick captioned the picture in question which was soon flooded with furious comments from the reality star’s followers.

“I’m Asian and that was racist,” wrote one fan. Added another: “She must have seen someone do it to think it’s okay.”
A third called Penelope’s behaviour “inappropriate” and scolded the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star for not educating his child on what is and isn’t considered offensive to other cultures.
“Teach her not to do the Chinese eye thing at a sushi restaurant,” wrote the fan. “Don’t teach her to be a racist. Cause that’s what’s gonna happen.”
A bunch of followers came to his and Penelope’s defence, however, writing:
“She is a little fucking girl making a goofy face in a picture with her dad.”
“Did you never make silly faces as a kid?” Another fan asked. “Just let the girl be silly and live her life!!! If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all.”
A third fan insisted that Penelope wouldn’t have meant any harm: “She is just being a kid not mocking anyone,” the IG user wrote.
Despite the heavy backlash, the post still lives on Disick’s Insta and he has yet to comment on the controversy.
