Images Of A New, Slim PS4 Have Apparently Leaked On Gumtree Of All Places

Sony is expected to unveil a new, more powerful PS4 system next month – codenamed Neo – which will likely jack it up to 4K and include a bunch of other high-end hardware features. The company have confirmed they’ve been working on that one.

But speculation has been mounting that they’re also working on a slim version of the currently existing hardware, and it looks like it might have leaked on everyone’s favourite website Gumtree, which is normally used for acquiring broken washing machines and organising serial killings. The seller provided gaming website Polygon with images of the console, which is slimmer – duh – and features rounded off edges rather than the current consoles sharp ones.
Apart from that, the only difference appears to be the lack of optical port.
Seeing as the hypothetical PS4 Slim has actually not been confirmed, this could be a convincing fake. Or it could literally be the Neo we’ve been waiting for, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
But hey: if your TV cabinet is feeling a bit bloody cramped, then maybe you’ll finally find some relief in September.
