Ugg Boots, heaps expensive right? Well at least they’re ethical.
Easily winning the Most Disturbing Story Of The Day award is the revelation that raccoon dogs, which are related to foxes, native to China and adorable beyond words are being skinned alive so that their hair can be used to make fake boots to keep your feet warm.
The move was exposed by Swiss Animal Protection in a video which you can view below, showing the dogs being beaten to death and having their coats ripped off while still alive. Be warned, it’s very graphic and disturbing:
