Timothée Chalamet Says His Latest Red Carpet Look Was Inspired By Harry Styles

Hands down, Harry Styles’ fashion evolution has been such a sight to witness. The former One Direction member went from ripped t-shirts to intricately embroidered blazers and bell-bottoms and he pulls it off. Ever the trend-setter, it appears that the 24-year-old has inspired another beautiful boy to take on the bold lewk – one Timothée Chalamet.

But first: to relive some of Styles’ best looks from his recent world tour, aggressively click on the below.

Anywhoo, at the London premiere of Chalamet’s latest film Beautiful Boy, the 22-year-old rocked up in an Alexander McQueen floral suit.

For a head-to-toe visual:

“See @TChalamet wearing an Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2018 painted floral-print single-breasted drop shoulder suit, to the #BeautifulBoy premiere tonight in London.”

A bold lewk, a good lewk.

While speaking to British journo, Lucy Jones, on the red carpet Chalamet agreed that his suit was very “Harry Styles-esque” and confirmed the ensemble was inspired by the artist.

Beautiful Boy is based on the memoir of the same name by David Sheff, played by Steve Carell. The memoir recounts his family’s experience with addiction when Nic Sheff (Chalamet), a former varsity athlete and honours student, becomes addicted to methamphetamine.

David, more than anything, wants to help Nic through the addiction but isn’t sure how to approach the subject or his son. As the memoir progresses, we’re exposed to the very raw effects of addiction and how destructive and heartbreaking it can be.

Beautiful Boy will premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival on October 16.
