Wearing a plastic crown, a chic taupe trench, red tube soaks, horse-bit loafers, a thong and zero scruples, Ukrainian ‘reporter’ Vitalii Sediuk werked the runway at Prabal Gurung’s monastic New York Fashion Week show this weekend past, demonstrating with aplomb a canter to make Karlie Kloss blush and the joie de vivre of a serial pest who knows neither reason nor shame and only the sweet caress of a thousand lingering eyes and Instagram filters fixed on your inner thighs.
“What can you do? Would I have liked it to be seamless? Yes. I hope he got his 15 seconds and I hope he got some pleasure out of it, I really do. And that’s all I can ask for,” a good-humoured Gurung told WWD backstage, before handing out replica plastic crowns at his after party.
