NSW Is About To Experience A Historically Fucked 3 Days Of Hell Weather

The most nightmarish heatwave of the Australian summer is building up over an area roughly encompassing New South Wales, making you wish that your shitty rental property had something more than a crappy pedestal fan to ride out the horror.

Sydney and much of the state will be hit with three extremely hot days over the weekend, just after the recovery from the insane volume of rainfall that hit the city just days ago. A top of 29 degrees is predicted for Sydney today before a trio of hellish days, with 36, 39, and 38 degrees predicted.
If you live out west toward Penrith, you’ll be laughing at the city slickers and their practically Arctic conditions. It’ll probably hit 44 to 45 degrees out that way, so we would forgive you if you clambered into your fridge and lived in there for the rest of your life.
Is this normal? No, this is not normal. “This could be the hottest three-day spell on record for the city,” Graeme Brittain, a meteorologist with Weatherzone, told Fairfax. The last time Sydney recorded three days in a row of 35 degrees was back in 1994 – and it’s only happened four times in recorded history.
Basically, its time to soak your tea towel in tap water and lay it languidly over your back while you try to sleep. Oh, no one does that except me? Scratch it, then.
