Kim Kardashian’s Latest Spruik Is A ‘Shazam For Fashion’ App & It’s Not Bad

Okay, let’s acknowledge the obvious first. There are quite a lot of “what’s this fashion item and where can I get it” apps in existence. Have been for yonks! Yonks! It’s not a new concept at all.

However… when a Kardashian throws their name behind one, well – you take notice. Not because it’s necessarily going to be good. Let’s just say it’s because they’ve literally infiltrated every area of society and commercial interests that you can’t help but goosegog at whatever product they’re spruiking.

Kim‘s the culprit this time, adding ‘fashion app’ to her plethora of business ventures. Honestly, how does this woman live a normal 24 hour day. And yes, I meant 24 hour – I challenge anyone to prove this woman is not a sleep-free robot. No human can do that much, surely.

Screenshop works like this – you load screenshots or pics of looks you like, anything from someone you see on the street to an influencer pic.

The app then matches the pieces in your snap with items you can buy that look similar. You might find the exact match, you might not – but you will be given a bunch of ops to shop immediately.

Kim’s involvement was in the screenshotting and uploading element, and she worked with the company behind the app for over a year to perfect it – so she’s not simply just a name to the brand on this product.

“I’ve never seen an app where you can screenshot something and within seconds bring up a whole digital fashion store to be able to pick out from all range prices and sizes of similar things to what you’re wearing,” she told Buzzfeed News. “That’s super exciting to me, so I just knew right away that I wanted to be involved.”

Past ‘Shazam for fashion’ style apps have either had stylists email you suggestions 24 hours later, been brand-specific (ASOS currently has a ‘visual search’ tool, for example) or not been as quick on the delivery of options – so this is kind of a great development.

If you’re keen to give it a shot, you can find it on the App Store or Google Play, or hit up their site here.
