As with everything from the ’00s, it seems that the french manicure is making a comeback. What was once the absolute WORST beauty trend from the era (unless you count hair trends. We did some awful things to our hair back then) the fake-real-nails look is, of course, way more subdued in it’s 2018 iteration.

The news comes via Pinterest, who report that in Germany and France something they’re calling “baby boomer nails” (lol) are up 72% (Germany) and 100% (France).
As you can see the nail trend is simply a more ombre version of the french mani.
But the ACTUAL french mani is also all over the Pinterest beauty boards.
