Disney Claims Its Next Victim, Secures Full Rights To Future ‘Indiana Jones’ Films

Media mogul who won’t give the Destroying Iconic Relics Of Our Childhood game a rest, Disney have claimed their next victim. Meddling in worlds they ought to leave alone and refusing to keep to what they do best, a deal was brokered in the US on Friday, which saw the company secure rights to the marketing and distribution of any future Indiana Jones films.

While Disney already owns the Indiana Jones franchise – along with Star Wars – after they bought out Lucas Films in 2012, the company – who makes veritable magic on beloved animated creations we so adore, but whose ability to steer George Lucas’ creations beyond their originals has been met with unprecedented fandom loathing – did not have the all-important rights to market and/or distribute an Indiana Jones film.

Friday’s deal saw Disney absorb Paramount‘s marketing and distribution rights to the Indiana Jones franchise, crossing a crucial step in the ease and potential of Disney tormenting fans with their interpretation, perceived bastardisation and terrible instagram accounts of the films in an inevitable (but unconfirmed) series of cash cow sequels.

Stop toying with us, Disney.
