‘The OC‘ might have been cruelly cancelled before its time in 2007, but it will always live on, both in our hearts and (more importantly) in themed homage evenings with espresso-based cocktails and cheap wine.
If you’re in Melbourne and, 10 years on, still keen to drink your feelings away (or not from Melbourne and really keen to drink your feelings away), Good Things in South Yarra are hosting what looks like a hell of a party to celebrate / mourn the decade that has passed since the show was unfairly given the axe.
Featuring all the hits from a very specific period in time, some life-size cardboard cutouts, a photo booth, $5 wine specials and $10 “Sethspresso” martinis, it should be a pretty wild time. You can also cop yourself a free bar tab for having the most early-2000s-‘OC’ inspired outfit, so why not dig deep into the dustier, more neglected recesses of your wardrobe.
The party will be on Sunday March 12th, kicking off at 10pm and winding down at 3am – if this sounds insane, keep in mind that’s the Labour Day weekend, so you’ve got an entire Monday to sleep off that filthy hangover.
