Mischa Barton – monetizing her post OC celebrity and ability to register one to two facial expressions despite the fact her cultural relevance died the exact same day Marissa Cooper did – has been announced as an official rent-a-celebrity guest of this year’s Emirates Melbourne Cup Festival.

The actress commenced her duties by pretending to care about a horse race held on the other side of the world, but mainly for fashion reasons.

“I am so looking forward to being a guest of Emirates and the Victoria Racing Club at the Emirates Melbourne Cup,” she said. “I am excited to visit Flemington racecourse and witness what I understand is an extraordinary fashion spectacle.”
