Cockatoo Island’s Doing Sunset Acoustic Sessions W/ Fancy Cheese & Wine

Summer’s for being outdoors as much as possible – hell, go all Man From Snowy River and sleep out there in some sort of outback humpy, it’s only warm 1/4 of the year you know?

One great thing you can do outdoors is lounge around listening to tunes with your mates – and Cockatoo Island‘s really giving it to ya this year, in the form of their Campfire Sessions.

ICYMI, Cockatoo Island is smack-bang in the middle of Sydney Harbour, so it boasts siq views and a delightful ocean breeze. It’s the perfect spot for a vino/brewski with some pals.

Campfire Sessions is being programmed by music darlings 505, and features a whole slew of home-grown talent like Wartime Sweethearts and Brendan Gallagher.

Oh, and if sweet acoustic tunes + alcohol wasn’t enough to entice you, there’ll be swish artisanal cheese boards on offer too c/o McIntosh & Bowman. Cheese, wine and tunes? Sign us the hell up.

There are sessions from this Saturday, 13th Jan through to the 17th Feb, so hit up the Cockatoo Island site for more info, and check out the food/drink menu here.
