Blown Away By NOM*d

The last time we spoke with NOM*d founder/head designer Margi Robertson she explained how the NOM*d design process usually starts with deconstructing a traditional garment.

It’s been a design hallmark of the Dunedin label for over two decades now and it appears again in their Spring Summer 2010/11 collection Blow, a skillful deconstruction of everything from leggings, dresses, jackets and vests through disappearing sleeves, hidden pleats and peek-a-boo panels, the genius of which can’t be fully appreciated in 2D. We love pretty much everything in this collection but special mention must go of the cummerbund-cum-Batman utility belt, which manages to tackle the logistical nightmare of the hands free purse without the use of science fiction. Genius!
