This right here is the cinematic beauty to which all video look books should aspire. Taking inspiration from rites of passage, transition and innocence – boundary defying New Zealand label NOM*d previewed their Winter 2010 collection, Turncoats, through a breathtaking Kirsty Cameron directed video.
The video starts in innocent, clinical whites and ends in a shamanic quest through the woods with a kaleidoscopic crew of misfit friends. Which is to say, it starts out Virgin Suicides and ends up Where The Wild Things Are but with way better clothes and, if it’s even possible, a touch more whimsy.
